Letter from Mr. Burns -
Year 11 Ice Skating Trip – December 18th 2014
Dear Parent / Guardian,
Re: Year 11 Ice Skating Trip – December 18th 2014
As a reward for the hard work that Year 11 learners have put into their studies so far this year, and for the positive attitude towards their extra classes and mock examinations, it has been arranged for all learners to go Ice Skating for the morning on Thursday 18th December.
Learners will be accompanied by ourselves and their Form Tutor and will leave school at 9am prompt, travelling by coach to the venue (Planet Ice, Cardiff Bay). Following a morning of Ice Skating learners will return to school by lunchtime. Due to the nature of the activity it needs to be highlighted that there is a possibility of injury and this has been taken into account when completing the risk assessment. Learners are advised to wear suitable warm clothing for the activity and to bring a spare set of clothes in case they get wet. Learners must also bring a packed lunch in case there are any delays in returning to school in time for lunch.
The coaches have been paid for through fundraising, however the cost of skating will be £4 with payment by cash or cheque to ‘Cwmcarn High School’. Please include your name, address and card details on the back of the cheque along with your child’s name.
Full payment is needed by Wednesday 10th December.
Yours sincerely,
Mr D Regulski
Head of Year 11
Mrs C Bowen
Assistant Head of Year 11
