Swans 2 - 0 QPR

on . Posted in 2014-2015

Many thanks to the 50 pupils and staff who attended the Swansea City trip on Tuesday night to the Liberty Stadium. The trip was a great success and will be running again next season.

The Swans secured their fifth home win of the season with a convincing 2-0 victory over QPR at the Liberty Stadium.¬¬
Second-half strikes by Ki Sung-Yueng - his first at the Liberty - and Wayne Routledge ensured Garry Monk's men made a return to winning ways following Saturday's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

After being frustrated in the first half by the impressive Rob Green, who made several outstanding stops to keep the Swans at bay, the deadlock was finally broken in the second period when Ki fired home from an acute angle on 78 minutes.
Routledge then doubled Swansea's lead soon after with a driven finish from 20 yards, before Wilfried Bony went close to adding Monk's side's third in the dying moments, only to see his effort rebound off the post.

This victory moved the Swans onto 22 points from 14 games, with Monk's men moving up to sixth in the table.
